Street photography is not without its challenges. The unpredictable nature of the streets means that patience is key. Sometimes, I can walk for hours without capturing a single compelling shot. Other times, the perfect moment presents itself in an instant. There’s also the challenge of discretion; blending into the environment allows for more authentic shots, but it requires practice and confidence.
Despite these challenges, the rewards are immense. Street photography allows me to document history as it unfolds, create visual narratives, and connect with people from all walks of life. Each photograph is a window into a specific time and place, frozen forever.
Every city, every neighborhood has its own rhythm and character and this is what I have experienced in all the cities I visited up to now. Starting with my hometown Vienna, then London, Paris, Milano, Istanbul, Helsinki, Zurich, Zagreb, Sarajevo and many other smaller ones - wherever I go I always have camera at hand and I'm always trying to capture the essence of the street from the perspective of a 35mm lens!
As street photography is continous journey, I'm happy that I can be constant traveller, enjoying creating beautiful and spontaneous moments.
